Infrared saunas from our saunas shop operate at safer and more comfortable temperatures (40-60 °C) than conventional saunas which might be found in other sauna shops. The therapeutic heat is channeled directly to the body without using air as the medium. Your body tissue up to 35-40mm below the skin surface absorbs the radiant heat.
Traditional saunas rely on an electric stove to heat the air to temperatures over 100 °C. This superheated air then heats your body, but only induces a third of the sweat produced by infrared therapy. They are expensive to operate, take at least an hour to warm up, and they are not ventilated, creating a stifling and oppressive environment.
